PM Hailemariam Desalegn at General Assembly, 68th Session (UN TV)

Music from Ethiopia will be among the sounds heard at the Jazz & Rib Fest next weekend in Columbus, Ohio. The Either/Orchestra which last performed in Columbus in 1991, will return with four musicians originally from Ethiopia.

Kassahun Kabiso is from Awassa, Ethiopia. He left behind 16 brothers and sisters in 2002, and eventually ended up in Bronx, New York.

Meaza Ashenafi was a judge on Ethiopia’s High Court from 1989 to 1992 and founded the first women’s bank in the country.
