New York (Tadias) – Ethiopian Olympic Champion Kenenisa Bekele won the gold medal in the 5000m race in Berlin on Sunday, marking the first time an athlete has ever won distance double at the IAAF World Athletics Championships. He won the 10,000-meter final race last Monday.

The reigning double Olympic champion finished the race in 13 minutes 17.09 seconds.

We congratulate Kenenisa Bekele on his unprecedented victory!

  1. OMG! did you see the Eriterian runner coming to join the Ethiopian winners in the photo shooting and somebody pushed him away. Dissappointing. Check it out at the end of the second video.

    No offense but I did watch the video you mentioned all I can pay attention is to the golden winner Kenenisa the ambessa.. If he was pushed I feel sorry but I am not disappointed.. I am thrilled that my country won someone from another nation being pushed can’t take away my thrill…
